WHO Fans.........

How many Classic Dr WHO fans are there in here?

Our poor old mailbox is getting pretty beat up looking and we were just joking about making a DALEK to set beside the road to hold the mailbox! LMAO !!!!! We'd probably have to make it heavy enough so it would not get stolen easily too. Cast in place concrete might be the answer.

Yep... there are times when ..............

They're coming to take us away,
Haha, they're coming to take us away,
Ho ho, hee hee, ha ha,
To the funny farm
Where Life is Beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those Nice Young Men
In their Clean White Coats
And they're coming to take us AWAY
HA HAAAAA

IF by chance I no longer am posting in here come by the Happy Home with Trees and Flowers And Chirping Birds and basket weavers Who sit and smile and
Twiddle their thumbs and toes to visit me /us and bring me a Kit Kat bar or Reece's Pieces.

    Quoting  :

Our state's Public broadcasting System has a gazillion old re-runs of Dr Who when we grew up and a Dalek mailbox could be most interesting.

Not a big fan, but I did watch some of the earlier episodes years ago. Maybe I should give it another go.

There have been thirteen Dr Who's. David Tennant was the most popular one. Who was your favourite ?

It's one of those old shows that grows on you like Lucy or Andy of Mayberry.... Just pleasant mindless entertainment.

I think Tom Baker is probably my favorite. I think it as him in an advert on TV awhile back... I liked Jon Pertwee too... he had a touch of class

I never watched it, but I never was one to sit in front of the boob tube. Growing up we watched whatever shows my Mom watched... Star Trek, Gunsmoke, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and Have Gun Will Travel.

Weren't there several series of Dr Who through the years?

BTW, I like the idea of the mailbox, take a pic when and if you decide to do it. Sounds like a fun project.

Yes ma'am when researching I found 13 Dr. Whos . My favorite Tom Baker was on an IPBN commercial... all of his flowing snow white hair.... I hope I age as well.

JD's thinking to pour reinforced concrete retaining a hallow center filled with sand.

I still will watch old Star Trek and Twilight Zone. One of the writers for Twilight Zone Taught at a local collage here I /we have the words scripted for S.T. "A Piece of the Action" memorized. Also Burgess Meredith's Twilight Zones. Good classic entertainment.

I never was able to see any Dr Who on TV in my neck of the woods. No cable or satellite services available.
But I was definitely a huge fan of Star Trek through it's various space journeys. My favorite character was Wesley Crusher.

Star Trek has it's own spirit of hope for the future that other shows lack.
