Welcome to Week 35 – I Week: Pearls' Coastal Capers! Featuring: Iridescent, Ignore, Infrastructure, Industry, Illuminated IRIDESCENT A September sunrise makes the water below appear iridescent at Mant's Landing, Robbins Hill Road Beach in Brewster. IGNORE Heads up: anthropomorphism ahead! lol The annoyed gull on the right turns his back and chooses to ignore the loudmouth one on the left! INFRASTRUCTURE This looks like an average calm spring day on the Dennis/Yarmouth line at Bass River Bridge but if I had stepped in closer to take this photo you'd see crumbling concrete and rusted metal. It's a bridge I drive across frequently so I was happy to read of infrastructure funding that will likely soon be directed toward these essential repairs! INDUSTRY Cape Cod Potato Chips is one of the few manufacturing companies on Cape where the main industries are hospitality, construction, and healthcare. ILLUMINATED The houses high up on the hill above the water appear illuminated from within due to the reflected glow of sunrise over Lewis Bay. Thanks for joining me for Pearls' Coastal Capers - “I week”!

I LOVE THOSE GULLS. WE HAVE THE SAME SITUATION. THERE ARE GULLS ON THE ROOF OF A RESIDENCE ACROSS THE STREET. ONE THRONES ON A CHIMNEY AND MAKES NOISE FOR HOURS ON END SOMETIMES. IT IS VERY IRRITATING. IT MAKES MORE NOISE THEN THE ONES ON THE SHORE.

Lovely selection of photos as usual again for you. You did a good job in all categories featuring the letter "I". I actually forgot it was photo Friday today. One of these weeks I will get back into it again. I so relate to your photos as I too live close to the water. Today here the king tide and high winds were causing a lot of havoc.

Thanks Shartaun. Glad you enjoyed the photos! Isn't it great living near the water?! Well, except when the tides and winds cause trouble as they did in your area yesterday. Hope everything has settled down!

Pearls yes the winds died down and it was trying to snow this morning and then it turned into rain. It was a miserable and cold day with the rain. Because of the high winds and king tide a lot of the seawall has to be repaired. We have had a lot of unusual weather since the middle of November when we had all of that flooding. I hope you are doing well Pearls.

So enjoyable..... but I chuckled at the one one for "Ignore". Could fit so many situations in life! I was very busy on Friday, and since we were expecting ice on Saturday, I thought I would wait and catch some pictures of it. But my experience with it left no desire to try to take pictures. I'll write a blog about it. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Just don't get caught fishing off that big bridge ... they recently made it illegal to do so! Ehhh, probably better to seek out those Stripers from the side of the bridge anyway. No barnacles there to shred your line.
