Probably does try to sell crap only to get you to sit on your fat idle butt and buy things you are too lazy to go to a store to see what is available and can't touch the items you won't have to send back because you didn't like it.

I have never used it and Alfie hasn't either. Now I wonder if this Mickey Mouse site will do the same with me..........

I have , as of today, ordered 864 items from eBay....since November of 2001.

If you're selective in what you purchase, you can get stuff for a fraction of what you'd pay for it from a store.

Yes a few times, just small items really. My son buys a lot of stuff on it, at very keen prices

Well I have been known to shop on Ebay but not in a very long time. I remember buying a watch once and by the time everything was settled I paid more than twice the amount that it was listed for. I don't even wear the watch now. It collects dust in a drawer now.....LOL!

I agree with Bob and you, and it is one of the places I always check for things I need at good prices. My glucose meter and strips are an example of name brand things at lower prices than in the store. Both of my cameras are from eBay.
I've been a seller also, but got out of the habit when Joe started declining. I need to get started again.

Over 20 years ago, my sister was a seller (and buyer) on eBay, and I was only an occasional buyer. She and I had found our grandma's old lamp in the basement of our stepdad's home after they had both passed away. She really didn't want it, so I took it home and cleaned it up.
After awhile, she asked me if I had any idea what it would bring on eBay, and I was shocked at the high price. She asked if I wanted her to sell it, and I said it was ok by me. She took it home and put it up for sale.
The more I thought about it, the more I wished I hadn't agreed, so I told her I really wanted to keep it. She couldn't end the auction because it had several bids, so she told me if I really wanted it to bid on it. I did, and won, of course, because I wasn't going to pay her anything for it, except the fees it cost her.
I didn't pick it up from her for quite awhile, until her husband told me if I didn't come get that fugly lamp, he was going to throw it in the trash!
I went and got it that day, and it is still sitting in the corner of my living room.
One of my grand daughters really likes it, so I will give it to her one of these days.

I have used Ebay since 2000 for both buying and selling.. It has evolved to where it is 100% buyer oriented. Should there be any type of dispute, the buyer is always favored. I have been cheated at least twice by dishonest purchasers, but that is the cost of doing business on ebay. Amazon is an alternative source for new items at competitive prices, and consignment shops are a good alternative for selling vintage items. Just my 2 cents.

    Quoting  :

The glucose strips and meters aren't medication, anyone can buy them at drug stores, box stores, or order them online. Actual prescription medications cannot be ordered from eBay, but many supplements and over the counter meds can be, just be sure to check expiration dates.
