Yeah sometimes Valentine Day isn't all its hepped up to be. It is really a day for couples and I haven't really observed it in a long time. One year I got a lovely bouquet of white roses and a box of chocolates. I felt privileged to get that on Valentine's Day. I am meeting a couple of people tomorrow for Valentine's Day coffee. I will have my latte as usual. Kofla I hope you are doing something nice even if it is treating yourself to a meal.

Happy Valentine's Day ! I'm spending the day with my grandpuppy. He is hairy, handsome, but no kisses from him (he has awful breath) LOL

A good reminder that life and Valentine's Day are not good for many folks~~~ Thankfully there is now somewhat more emotional & actual support for those needing to extricate themselves from abusive situations. It's also a day of poignant memories for those whose loved ones has died. GENTLE HUGSSS ~~~

My mother was abused by her alcoholic husband, and I vowed no man would ever hit me more than once. I would either leave, or he would be dead. One time, when my beloved grandpa died, I was crying and probably hysterically. My husband slapped me, and then immediately began apologizing and begging me not to leave him. He explained he only slapped me because that is what they do in movies when a woman is hysterically crying.  Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
